Gary Feldman DPM, FACFAS
Dr. Feldman is a Board Certified foot and ankle podiatrist. Dr. Feldman received his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, his graduate degree from the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine and received advanced surgical training as chief resident at St. Agnes Medical Center in Philadelphia. As a resident, Dr. Feldman became proficient in multiple areas of foot and ankle care including diabetic limb salvage, pediatric disorders as well as foot and ankle reconstruction. He continues to provide state of the art care in foot and ankle medicine including Ultrasound Guided procedures and diagnosis, PRP injection therapy and even Total Ankle Replacement Surgery for advanced ankle arthritis.
During his 26 years in private practice, Dr. Feldman has developed a special interest in sports medicine injuries. He has worked as team physician for several high school football teams and was previously a part-time editor for a popular medical journal, The Physician and Sports Medicine. Additionally, Dr. Feldman has participated as one of the team physicians for DC United professional soccer club and he’s been a medical liaison for the George Washington University basketball, soccer and gymnastic athletes.
Currently Dr Feldman is a partner at Maryland Orthopaedic Specialists in Bethesda and Germantown. He is currently on staff at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital and Chevy Chase Surgical Center.
Dr. Feldman is an active contributor to the Medstar/Georgetown Hospital residency training program. He’s also previously participated in the training program at INOVA Hospital system. In this capacity he helped to provide surgical training for 2nd and 3rd year residents. Dr. Feldman has also participated in a non-profit organization known as The Bear Hug Foundation. Previously, through this organization, he traveled to third world countries, such as El Salvador, providing treatment to populations without medical care.
Dr. Feldman was raised in Montgomery County and has chosen to raise his own family in the area. He is married and has two children. He is an avid athlete who enjoys running, cycling, golfing and basketball. He is a long time fan and supporter of the Washington Capitals and Washington Redskins. When he is not hard at work Dr. Feldman enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and trying new foods.
